Alignment Alignment restrictions can stop you from taking conflicting Classes, but your BG can give you an exception if you have a credible backstory to support why you know both classes.
Ex: You're a Monk/Barbarian (which I know by this point none of you are playing so it's a safe example  ) your backstory might explain this in two (or more) ways. Though you only need the one for the PC.
You went through the Monk training since your youth, but soon after you graduated and returned to your home town you came upon your family's bloodied corpses and went into a wild rage. Since that moment you have striven to control and tap into this new source of power in your quest for justice.
Or…
You've always had a temper. Everyone knew this, but due to your family's influence people were willing to ignore it. What's surprising is the night at the Drunken Boar when the brawl ensued and three men didn't rise at the end and you were packed up by the town guard and carted off to a monastery three day's travel from your home town.
Not having any choice in the matter, you remained there, learning the skills of the Monks but never feeling a need to pay much attention to the lessons of morality, self-control or responsibility. Deep down, you can still feel the rage burning if you really need some power.
((You'd probably write that up in third or first person. Second person doesn't make sense for your own BackGround.))
You can be LG -> NE but not CE.
Anyone who plays Evil and tries to kill a PC will be squashed by a passing meteor. You have been warned.

Do we get a Fort Save from the meteor?

No. CE PCs do not get a Fort save (or a Reflex save for that matter, which would make more sense) vs. DM sent Meteors of Doom(TM).

Hey, I probably just missed this somewhere, but...
What pantheon are we working from? Some of us characters might be the worshipful sorts ;)

Oops. Just plain old Greyhawk. The stuff found in the Player's Handbook.
